Cross Country Practice

We started our Cross country practice in Week 11, we got our bodies and brain working early in the morning while the sun is still fresh. Some fresh air is good for the brain to start working. We had a lot of fun doing some running and even had a smile on our faces passing the teachers. Do you like cross country ?

Stingray Dye Art

Room 12 had a lot of fun doing some dye art. The inspiration was Maui and The Sun. For Inquiry we are currently busy discussing who discovered New Zealand and Maui is one of the few we are discussing in class. As you might not know why we did a Stingray , the reason is in the history of Maui , he was known for catching a big stingray while fishing with his brothers , who didn't believe in him because he was the youngest. The North Island is known for being the stingray that was caught and the South Island is known for the canoe Maui was fishing in.

Week 8 of Term 2 

Although it was a very short week than usual , we did a lot of new learning during this week. We started the week off with Cybersmart. We had a Cybersmart lesson with Mrs.Cameron and Miss Izelle. Our topic for Cybersmart was Blog Profiles. The Year 3's got their blogs and the Year 4's updated their blog profiles. The Year 3's were really excited getting their blogs for the first time.

Room 12 really got the hang off grouping during our number talk. We did a good job in working together during Collaborative tasks and helping each other solving the math problems. We had a go at using arrays when we did multiplication.

For Art we made some awesome cut outs and created our own frames and created some beautiful creations. Creativity is the key and we certainly did a good job , we created our own unique pattern and used our imaginations.
